History

Noble Plastics was incorporated in October of 2000 by Missy and Scott Rogers in Lafayette Louisiana. Their idea was to build a company that was more than just a manufacturer, but a company that was an interesting and enjoyable place to work.

In early 2001 Noble Plastics pressed the "ON" button of its first molding machine in one half of a rented warehouse. None of the employees had ever operated a molding machine before but all had experience solving problems.

Some things in business don't go exactly as planned and in late 2001 Scott and Missy's third child arrived. Some of Noble's long term vendors will remember having to bounce baby Ken on their knee while negotiating terms with Missy.

Even with all of that going on, it wasn't long before a few more machines arrived and Noble expanded into an adjacent building.

In 2003 Noble became the only custom molding customer in Louisiana for the Moldflow Software Rep.

In 2004 Noble received its first 6 axis robot on a pallet and began searching for the "ON" button. While Scott was testing his first program late one Sunday night, the song Suzie Q was playing, and so this first robot became known as Susie. Since then every robot has been named by it's first programmer.

Within another year Noble took over some additional floor space and in 2006 purchased a building Just north of Lafayette in Grand Coteau Louisiana. Along with this building came another new molding machine and an upgrade to all auxiliary systems.

2007 brought the purchase of some new CNC equipment.

2008 saw upgrades in Six Sigma, CAD, CAE, and CAM software.

Our main push in 2009 was in the area of scientific molding, adding LabView and RJG process monitoring equipment.

In 2010 we have seen the addition of a fully automatic scanning CMM to expedite the DOE and FAI processes.

Whats new for 2011? Who knows, but there's almost surely going to be a new piece of equipment with an "ON" button to push for the first time.
